Content Management System (CMS)

Content management is a set of processes and technologies that supports the collection, managing, and publishing of information. A content management system allows you to create, edit, manage and maintain website pages from a single interface. An example is WordPress, where you do not have to be a web designer to be a author/contributor.

 

Translation, Editing, and Proofreading (TEP)

Editors check the target-language content against the original, and ensure that the message from the source text delivers the intended idea accurately. After this bilingual check, they make sure that the paragraphs read smoothly and are clear. Proofreaders work only with the target text, checking that the translation does not have any spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors.

Extract, Transform, Load (ETL)

Extract is the process of reading data from a database. In this stage, the data is collected, often from multiple and different types of sources.
Transform is the process of converting the extracted data from its previous model into a new schema so that it can be uploaded into a database.
Load is the process of writing the data into the target database.

Unified Modeling Language (UML)

A UML Diagram is an Illustration created with the purpose of visually representing a system along with its main components, roles, actions, artifacts or classes. You have probably seen these in Visio or Power Point slide decks. The purpose of this study is for clients to better understand, alter, maintain, or document information about the their Application Work Flows or Business Processes.
